It was such a fine spring day, down Louisiana way, with fragrance divine, oh baby, and such magnificent regalia, oh so fine, Azalea. Oh what a lovely sight, in red, pink and white, can't help but believe that nothing evil can assail ya. (You're) so nice, Azalea You at ease on the knees of the moss-covered trees, whose tops met your mate on high ceilings in the churchlike calm of a cypress swamp. I've yet to get that same strange feeling I've got to go back there and find that blossom fair, I always dream of, 'cause with you who can be a failure. My first love, Azalea. - Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington (Composed by D. Ellington) - I'm currently listening to the wonderfully smooth and brilliant sounds of the Duke and Satchmo...in particular their song 'Azalea'...its just such a beautiful piece. There really is nothing else quite like it in making me just want to sink back into my big old comfy chair with a nice cool drink in my hand and watch as the sun slowly sets over the city, pulling along its blanket of stars as it goes to sleep. 100% Pure Unadulterated Bliss. --------------------------------Late Addition-------------------------------- As a special treat....I decided to go the extra mile...since there are no streaming files of this song available...I decided to share it with you guys via a filesharing website. The mp3 can be found here. Enjoy!

@Tse Min: good that you could
and yes, it is a beautiful piece.
I can so imagine this: Saturday afternoon, Montsalvat, sipping a cup of tea, enjoying the soft afternoon sun shining on the face, listening to this song, with the right company. Oh, heaven.

@Tse Min: haha well we each have our own picture of how the song should be played and when it should be played =)
A very beautiful image. The colors, DOF and composition are all very nice. Very poetic description as well. I enjoyed reading it.

@Sarah: Hi Sarah, thanks for the visit...I should have clarified...this photo wasn't taken by me...most of the photos on my blog are...but I've been rather busy of late and I haven't been able to go out and shoot more shots...and in this instance...I don't think Azaleas are in season here in Melbourne. I pulled this image from the wikipedia entry on Azaleas. It is a brilliant photo though. I'm glad you enjoyed reading it =)
Ah yes. Sorry about that, still a nice bit of eye candy. Our yard was completely filled with azaleas until the flowers fell off a couple weeks ago.

@Sarah: No worries. Yeah it sure its =D It's a great shot I reckon.
You've got what sounds to be a very beautiful yard =D
I have a tiny balcony garden (primarily herbs)...but due to neglect and other competing priorities I didn't have time to give it the care and love it deserved. (Ever a case against me getting a pet =D)
