O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night— but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you. Psalms 139:1-12
I love all kinds of travelling...I've stayed at roach motels and I've been priviledge to stay in a '6' star hotel....but the form of travelling I especially like is solo hiking...it gives me time to think and to reflect on my life...away from all the noise of citylife...the internet (both the boon and the bane of my life)...just everything...to a place where I am always put into place.
Just to see those cliffs and that endless expanse of sky and ocean all, those pressing and urgent worries seem so small and inconsequential against the awesome backdrop of nature. It reminds me that I am fearfully and wonderfully made...that the same God who create this wonderful sight...created me and what's more...created the sight for me. He is the same God who chases after me relentlessly even when I've spurned His love.
This photo reminds me so much that no matter which end of the world I run to or how far I am from all that I hold dear, He is there for me. And sometimes...like the verse above says...this knowledge of His love and His blessing becomes so unbearable and incomprehensible...but it sure does give me the strength to carry on through the troubles that swell like the sea waves =D. Have a good Sunday y'all!

@Dimitrios: haha almost Dimitrios =D Thanks for the comment!
Wayne - another spectacular landscape! I used to tell the kids that all the beautiful scenery around us was God telling us that he loved us. I still feel that way when I see beauty like this far away from where I live. Thanks for sharing the beauty!

@Jen: Thanks Jen! Glad you enjoyed both the picture and the Psalm. It's a great passage...one of my favorites =D
Lovely shades of blue, interesting twisting of the view angle. Always thanks for your words and for sharing the psalm. Sometimes we complicate everything trying to achieve something, but the answer usually is simple and one of the simplest things to learn is to appreciate life itself.

@Pero: Thanks Pero! Glad you enjoyed it =D
a beautiful landscape, it has a tremendous sense of movement through it, perhaps due to the angle, which indicates motion. very nice.

@Duncan Galbraith: Thanks Duncan I really appreciate your comments! I tried out several shots before finally trying out an angled version. Turns out it worked so I stuck with it. I was aiming to capture a sense of flying over the cliffs to give it a sense of loftiness the way you see plane cameras yaw and pitch. Glad it worked out alright =D.
