I'm a wanderer

Posted by Wayne (Melbourne, Australia) on 31 January 2007 in People & Portrait.

Rather busy today hence the late post and replies to all comments. I didn't really have time to select a great photo so I just picked one out of the bin...here's a semi-self portrait of me taken on some trail....I used to a 10 second timer and a minitripod.

I think I picked it out because it kinda sums up what I'm feeling at the moment. I've been working in Goa for about a month now and I'm leaving next Wednesday for Singapore (my home country) and 3 days after that for Melbourne (where I study, work & live for most of the year). I find it ironic that my time here in Goa (famous for its beaches) has largely been spent inside an office in front of a laptop. Anyway the photo called out to me because I feel a tug at my heart to keep on moving - my time here is almost up and more exciting things lie in store for me just beyond the horizon - that wandering (explorer) feeling

My university vacation has been rather hectic too...hence the wandering (displaced) undertones too. Besides working here for a month, I've rarely stayed, in the 3 months of vacation, in any one place for more than a week.

Thanks for all your comments and for your visits =D I really appreciate them all =D
