Java Jive

I love coffee....and I'm ideally placed to enjoy it in the coffee capital of Australia. No offence to any Sydney-siders...but I have yet to taste good coffee there.

This photo was taken at an early morning breakfast with Sam the Nurse (aka Super Sam) at one of my favourite brekkie spots - Federal Coffee Palace @ the GPO (they do marvelous croissants although their services can be quite frigid)

Anyway I love the song Java Jive originally by the Inkspots but I was first introduced to it by an A cappella version done by the King's Singers....right around the time I started drinking and appreciating coffee. The lyrics are as follows, enjoy!:

I love coffee, I love tea
I love the java jive and it loves me
Coffee and tea and the jivin' and me
A cup, a cup, a cup, a cup, a cup!

I love java, sweet and hot
Whoops! Mr. Moto, I'm a coffee pot
Shoot me the pot and I'll pour me a shot
A cup, a cup, a cup, a cup, a cup!

Oh, slip me a slug from the wonderful mug
And I cut a rug till I'm snug in a jug
A slice of onion and a raw one, draw one.
Waiter, waiter, percolator!

I love coffee, I love tea
I love the java jive and it loves me
Coffee and tea and the jivin' and me
A cup, a cup, a cup, a cup, a cup!
