Tang Yuan
Posted by Wayne (Melbourne, Australia) on 18 August 2008 in Food & Cuisine.
Here ya go! I must say...rolling those tiny little dough balls is an absolutely tedious and mind-killing mundane task. I nearly went into a simultaneous comatose/muscle spasm fit...well okay not quite...but the point was it was tedious and boringly routine...the implication being that I won't take for granted tang yuan or the people who make it anytime soon.

Anyway....today's a great day...and you know why? because its Laundry Day! Which means...(a) fresh laundry smells (b) fuzzy warm towels (c) folding of the clothes (d) all of the above twice over. Did I mention how I love doing the laundry?
There's a laundromat near my house...and one of the reasons I like to get my dry cleaning done there (besides the convenient proximity and excellent service) is that they've got a whole entire row of washing machines and dryers out front...and even though the scents are potentially (and probably) toxic...I love the smell of fresh laundry.
And just to commemorate Laundry Day...here's a youtube of Neil Patrick Harris from Dr. Horrible singing about it(ish). The lyrics are just...brilliant.
