Signs of a Paranoid Mind

I'm a big believer in the motto of the U.S. Coast Guard (Amongst many other fine organisations) - Semper Paratus (latin for always ready/prepared)

This is a sanitised image for public exhibition. I've left out other details like emergency knife/glass breaker (in a concealed location proximate to the driver's seat), multiple watches, 2 spare sets of clothes with shoes to match sealed in military grade ziplock bags, 3 umbrellas of varying lengths, emergency camping gear (including survival blankets, groundsheets, fire starter, waterproof rain smock and a hammock), stain remover pen, backup cologne and shaver kit, 3 types of alternative light sources and 3 types of shopping/grocery bags (Large Hemp, medium polyester and temperature insulated)...amongst other things. What is show is a stationery kit (containing stationery I use for my volunteer teaching job...more on that in a later post), Service manuals and a first aid kit containing a rudimentary fit out of common household medication and bandages.

I realise I tend to treat everything I do seriously....which to many people can seem like a buzzkill....but to me...part of the fun of camping has always been the preparation and packing phase. Ah well to each his own =D
